The weather is warming up quickly here in Kanab, Utah. Now through the end of May the weather is just about perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and riding ATVs. Just north of Kanab is Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park that are perfect for families looking to hike and explore some of the most beautiful red rock areas in the world. Also, north of Kanab is Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park which is one of the best sand dunes in the western United States to drive ATVs and explore some amazing dunes. South of Kanab is the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument and Grand Staircase National Monument. These areas have some of the most unique red rock formations and slot canyons in the world and have endless hikes and canyons to explore by foot or ATV. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell are also just an hour south of Kanab if your family needs more to do while in southern Utah on vacation. Toadstools and Moqui Cave is a great idea for families with small children that want a fun area to play in the sand and rocks just off the highway without much hiking.
