Buckskin Gulch is just south of Kanab about 30 miles and is one of the most spectacular narrows canyons in the world. This amazing slot canyon has huge sandstone walls that go up hundreds of feet on each side and sections of this amazing canyon can get very narrow. Families with small children can choose to simply hike a few miles of this spectacular canyon. Groups that are up for a longer adventure can hike all day long and even get a permit to spend the night down in the canyon if they choose.
Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park are both about 45 minutes north of Kanab. These spectacular national parks have amazing red rock formations and sandstone canyons to explore. You will need a full day in each of these national parks to see and explore each of these world-famous national parks.
The Grand Staircase National Monument is about 45 minutes southeast of Kanab. This gorgeous national monument is full of spectacular red rock formations and hiking and ATV trails. It is an amazing area to explore if you enjoy getting off the beaten path and exploring areas that are more remote and finding cool rock formations.
