Grand Plateau Lodge is a beautiful facility with a main lodge that has a large kitchen and dining area, living room, theatre room, three bedrooms, and four bathrooms. There is also a retreat building with eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Between the two buildings is a beautiful, private pool area with a large pool and hot tub. The lodge also has a pickle ball court, basketball, and sand volleyball. The two buildings, private pool, and nice patio areas make this facility perfect for groups up to 50 people to stay a few days and get together any time of the year. Families will love staying at this lodge and exploring the natural wonders around the Kanab area.
Two of our favorite areas to explore are Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. Both of these spectacular national parks are just north of Kanab and are world-famous for there red rock formations and massive canyons.
South of Kanab is the north rim of the Grand Canyon and it is easy to drive down to the north rim for a day of exploring and seeing this massive canyon and the wonders of this magnificent landscape.
Page, Arizona is also just south of Kanab and has some of the largest and most breathtaking slot canyons in the world around this small town. Buckskin Gulch is one of the deepest and longest slot canyons in the world and is just south of Kanab. The famous horseshoe bend at the start of the Grand Canyon is just outside of Page, Arizona. Paria Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Owl Canyon, and many more breathtaking slot canyons are in this area for families willing to spend a little time exploring.
