Johnson Canyon is a great place for ATV riding just south of town about 20 minutes. This beautiful canyon is long and has several neat side canyons to explore. You can travel all the way to the Grand Staircase National Monument if you are really feeling like a big adventure.
White Pocket is an amazing area with great geological formations. This area can be accessed by parking just off the highway about 40 minutes south of Kanab and riding ATVs on dirt roads through the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument for about an hour and a half. The sandstone formations are beautiful, and the ride is a great adventure.
The Coral Pink Sand Dunes are just north of Kanab. This is a fun area for families to enjoy some ATV riding and playing in the sand. Families love to ride sleds and sand boards down the dunes and ride an ATV back to the top.
Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are just a 45-minute drive north of Kanab. These two world-famous national parks have some of the most amazing red rock canyons and formations in the world and are easy to drive through to take pictures or go on short hikes.
