It has been a great summer at Grand Plateau Lodge and RV Resort, but we always look forward to the mild weather of the fall months. It is a wonderful time of year in the Kanab area where the afternoons are warm and the mornings and evenings are cool. It is a great time of year for being outside. In this blog we will discuss some of our favorite outdoor recreation in the fall months for families to enjoy. We would love to have you for a fall family vacation in Kanab, Utah.
Families love to visit national parks any time of year, but the fall months are an especially good time of year to visit the beautiful national parks in southern Utah. Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are just north of Grand Plateau Lodge and RV Resort. Fall is a great time of year to visit these national parks. The weather is mild and they are not as busy as the summer months. The north rim of Grand Canyon National Park is just south of Kanab and is another great national park for families to visit in the fall months.
Families also love to explore slot canyons in the Kanab area. The fall months are great for exploring the beautiful slot canyons and sandstone formations surrounding Kanab, Utah. Buckskin Gulch, Paria Canyon, and Toadstools just south of Kanab are three great areas for families to explore and enjoy time outdoors with their families in the fall months.
Fall is also a great time to relax and have a family fall vacation in Kanab. The warm afternoons are great for swimming and playing in the pool and the cool evenings are perfect for soaking in the hot tub and playing pickle ball or volleyball with your family.
We hope to see you in Kanab this fall at Grand Plateau Lodge and RV Resort!
